St David’s Admissions Criteria

At St David’s Citadel of Learning, we are committed to admitting students who demonstrate academic potential, strong character, and readiness to embrace our values. Below are the criteria and process for admission into the school.

Admission Process

Eligibility

Age Requirement: Applicants must meet the appropriate age for the class they are applying to (e.g. 10–11 years old for JSS 1, and 2–3 years old for Crèche).
Previous Schooling: Candidates must have successfully completed the preceding class in an accredited primary or secondary school.

Application Process

Completed Application Form: Parents or guardians must fill out the official school application form and submit it before the stated deadline.
Required Documents: Birth certificate or age declaration, recent passport photographs, academic records (last two report cards and transcripts), and transfer certificate (if transferring from another school).

Entrance Assessment

Written Examination: Candidates will sit for entrance exams in core subjects such as English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
Oral Interview: A brief interview with the student and/or parent to assess communication skills, character, and readiness for our academic and moral standards.

Character and Conduct

A recommendation or testimonial from the applicant’s current school regarding behaviour and discipline is required. Applicants must also demonstrate a willingness to uphold the school’s code of conduct, values, and ethics.

Health Requirements

A recent medical report from a recognized health facility is required to certify fitness for school activities. Parents should also disclose any special health or learning needs to ensure proper support planning.

Financial Planning

Application Fee: Payment of a non-refundable application or entrance exam fee is required.
Financial Readiness: Parents/guardians must provide proof of ability to meet tuition and other school-related fees as stated in the school’s financial policy.

Special Considerations

Limited scholarships or fee discounts may be awarded to exceptional candidates based on academic merit or special talents (e.g. sports, arts, or music). Admission remains subject to availability of space in the desired class.
